During the feeding out process, we provide ample supply of grain to the animals to be slaughtered while allowing them access to pastures.  This allows a somewhat reduced marbling of the meat compared to feedlot operations, but provides a much tastier meat instead.

We purchase our feed from Performance Livestock and Feed out of Lawsonville, NC.

Their feed is a High Energy Feeder Blend that contains a mixture of corn, soy beans, peanuts and peanut hulls.

We also supplement the feed with hay if grass is in short supply.

There are absolutely no growth hormones or animal by-products in our feed, guaranteed.
